Why All Girls?

A uniquely empowering environment that is only possible with all-girls
At an all-girls school, faculty, staff, and classmates work to celebrate girls’ ambitions. This climate fosters the confidence girls need to ask questions, explore unique interests, assume leadership roles, and succeed in a world with striking gender inequalities. At Ursuline, girls develop a voice that makes a difference no matter where they go next.
We create female leaders, and they don’t stop here.
When students see women holding leadership positions, they too strive to do the same. Underclasswomen view their older sisters as mentors, often striving to follow their path and become leaders themselves. We create opportunities for our students to see female leadership in traditionally male-dominated fields through our business classes and clubs, as well as the opportunity to directly explore STEM fields. When graduates leave here, they feel equipped to enter these fields, already having the experience being a female leader in them.

Is there really a difference?
As you explore high school options for your daughter, ask the following questions:
- Does the school address the rising stressors that teen girls face?
- Does the school provide resources to allow your daughter to explore a career in traditionally male-dominated fields?
- Does the school value male and female teams the same?
- Are the school's highest student leadership positions held by girls?
- Does the school prepare girls to be leaders?
- Do girls actively participate in class at the school?
- Is the school designed for how girls learn best, through teamwork and collaboration?
Gaining an education in an all-girls atmosphere has been incredible in the way it raises women to empower one another and find strength. Ursuline shows each and every one of us we can do anything with other women by our sides. avery s. '26
