Faith & Ursuline Identity

Lifelong faith is rooted in our mission.

We continue to live out the mission of the Ursulines by incorporating charism through all aspects of an Ursuline Academy education. Ursuline is a place where you can ask questions and challenge preconceived beliefs, helping you grow into a deeply rooted adult faith.

The student faith experience here features annual retreats, Mass, Bible Study, prayer services, the sacrament of reconciliation, and a compassionate religion department to ensure that you are fully supported in your faith journey throughout your time here. Students are encouraged to join campus ministry teams and participate in morning prayer over the announcements, liturgy planning, and Bible Study. As a student, you will also have the chance to train and serve as a Eucharistic minister and have regular opportunities to live the values of Catholic social teaching through community service.

Ursuline's Retreat Program

We redesigned Ursuline's retreat program to reflect our mission to "prepare the young woman for college and beyond by nurturing her soul, intellect, heart, and imagination."

The new retreat format allows for a more cohesive approach to your spiritual development. Retreats grow in depth as they grow in length, allowing you to undergo a more holistic process of understanding yourself, others, and God. We feel it's important to spend time together away from classes where you have space to grow your sense of self and your identity as a person of faith and practice the skills of reflection and discernment.

Understanding Religion at Ursuline

Monday Nun Day

We are blessed to experience the Ursuline sisters' legacy first-hand. Although the Ursuline Sisters have transitioned out of classroom teaching, they remain committed to molding young Ursuline women. Some serve as substitute teachers while others connect each week with students on Monday Nun Day and Thoughtful Thursday. Pull up your chair and chat!

Meet our Campus Minister!

Ms. Horner works to support students along their faith journey by connecting them with opportunities to explore and grow in their faith. She supports the retreat programming, works with student-led campus ministry teams, and acts as a resource for students from all faith backgrounds.
