Endowing the Legacy

On June 30, 2018 Ursuline’s Endowing the Legacy campaign for endowment came to a successful conclusion. Thanks to the generosity of alumnae, parents, faculty, staff and friends, the campaign exceeded its goal, raising $5,025,806 for the school’s endowment.

Endowed scholarship funds serve as a permanent resource for providing deserving students with tuition assistance. As restricted funds, a portion of the interest earned is available for student financial aid each year. As a result, the fund principal remains intact, allowing the interest to be used as grants to talented young women who, without financial assistance, may be unable to enroll.

During the Legacy campaign, fifty-seven new named scholarship funds were created by contributors. This very generous support is a strong endorsement of an Ursuline education. We are deeply grateful to all of those who have invested in our school through the Legacy campaign. Their thoughtful support will help ensure that this educational experience is available to our area’s best students for years to come, helping to sustain the Ursuline Sisters’ promise to never turn away a qualified student because of the cost of tuition.
