Ursuline Academy is thrilled to offer an expanded array of special interest summer camps for students entering 1st through 9th grade! These exciting, fun-filled camps are designed for girls, with two co-ed options available. Under the expert guidance of Ursuline Academy’s dedicated faculty and staff, each camp promises a unique and enriching experience. Plus, every registration includes a stylish camp t-shirt! WEEK ONE: June 9-13, 2025

Cooking Around the World

The Cooking Around the World camp for 6th through 8th graders is perfect for adventurous eaters wanting to learn some of the basics of cooking and to explore the rich flavors of global cuisine! Each day will feature the cuisine of a different country. You will be introduced to the culture of the country and then prepare one of its signature dishes. We'll explore all continents, with sweet and savory recipes to please all palates! You will leave this week well fed and armed with a recipe book so that you can recreate these delicious foods for friends and family!

Craft your HeART Out

Does your daughter enjoy creating imaginative creatures, objects, and functional pieces from a variety of materials? In Craft Your HeART Out, we will repurpose everyday materials as well as work with traditional art materials like paint, stamps, fibers, paper, watercolor, and more! Campers during this week will have a great time getting to know each other and making decisions in their artmaking, as they create a collection of fun and colorful projects!

Exploring Fairytales

Calling all fairy tale lovers! Girls entering grades 1-3 will explore different fairytales through story time as a group, STEM-related activities like trying to figure out how to get Rapunzel down from her tower, and crafts such as paper flowers for Red Riding Hood and puppets of the Seven Dwarves! We’ll start the week creating our own crowns to wear during the week as we explore the different morals and lessons we can learn from each tale. These activities will help empower your daughter to be a confident, curious, and courageous princess!

Marine Biology Camp

Dive into the wonders of the ocean at our marine biology camp! Campers will engage in hands-on experiments to explore the unique characteristics of saltwater, conducting lab exercises with live goldfish and plants for an immersive experience. The program also features an exciting crayfish dissection, providing a closer look at marine anatomy. Our camp focuses on interactive, educational activities, allowing participants to gain insights into marine ecosystems while fostering a love for marine biology. Led by science teacher, Ms. Urso, this dynamic experience promises to captivate young minds with the marvels of the marine world.

Future Lions

Embark on a thrilling adventure during our Future Lions Camp, where each day promises to showcase the unique and cherished aspects of Ursuline! 1st through 5th graders are invited to immerse themselves in a week teeming with excitement as we delve into a variety of themes that define our special community. From engaging crafts to spirited sports, captivating experiments, and the chance to showcase individual talents in our talent show, every moment will be filled with joy and discovery. Cap off the week with an exhilarating field day, fostering friendship and unforgettable memories. Get ready for a fun-filled exploration of all things Ursuline, where each day brings a new dimension of excitement and celebration!

Theater Craft

Come and enjoy this weeklong camp filled with sewing, painting, prop making, and set design. Help design and create sets and props and also learn what set and prop building is all about! 6th through 9th graders will learn how to sew and embellish costumes for UA's Lion's Paw Production Camp: “Disney’s Aladdin Kids.” Come join the production during week 3 of Summer Camp sessions, June 23rd - 27th.

Ursuline Academy's Babysitting Camp

Join Ursuline Academy's Babysitting Camp for 6th-8th graders! This fun and educational camp equips young girls with the skills needed to become responsible, confident babysitters. Campers will learn childcare, safety, and CPR/First Aid from certified professionals. With hands-on experience and a Babysitting Certification, they'll be ready to take on babysitting jobs. Upon completion, campers can opt-in to be added to an alumni database of available babysitters!

Lions Paw Productions

Join us for a week full of music, choreography, acting, and more at Ursuline Academy's Lions Paw Production Camp. This co-ed camp for 5th graders through incoming 9th graders is for young musical theatre enthusiasts. Throughout the week we will work with all elements of musical theatre while we work together to produce “Disney’s Aladdin Kids”, a one-act musical, and participate in additional fun activities around UA. Students will perform the show for their adoring fans (parents, guardians, and guests) on the final evening of the camp. Past productions have included "The Best Little Theatre in Town," "Annie Kids," and "Lion King Kids." Spaces are limited, so enroll your student soon!

Ursuline’s Wizard Academy

You don’t have to wait until your 11th birthday to get an invitation to this camp. Girls entering grades 3rd through 6th are invited to join us for a week of Wizarding Camp at Ursuline Academy inspired by a popular best-selling children's series! We will sort campers into houses on our first day and have a week of fun activities, including dabbling in popular classes every wizard enthusiast is sure to enjoy - such as Potions and Magical Creatures. Don't worry if your child has not finished the beloved series, this will be a spoiler free zone for our Ursuline Wizard Academy campers.

Adolescent Creative Writing Workshop

This writing workshop is for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls that are interested in learning more about creative writing. During this five-day workshop, students will learn about the beautiful and complex creative writing process. Students will read and analyze excerpts from famous fictional narratives, as well as identify different types of creative writing styles. Students will explore different genres of creative writing, such as fictional narratives, creative nonfiction, plays, myths, and comic book/graphic novels. Students will brainstorm ideas for their own unique plot and complete a draft of their very own short story! Students will share these stories with peers and better understand what it means to be a part of a community of writers. An Ursuline Academy English teacher will guide the lessons and activities to ensure that all students feel comfortable engaging in the writing process.

WEEK FOUR: July 7-11, 2025

Instrumental Immersion Camp

In Instrumental Immersion Camp, students will participate in both large and small band and orchestra ensemble instruction culminating in a concert on the Friday evening of camp week! Students will work with Mr. Sawzin and UA's camp counselors on instrument fundamentals, audiation and solfege, and part independence. They will get to meet a variety of students from other schools. This is a coed camp open to both girls and boys in grades 5 - 9.

Digital Photography Camp 

In Digital Photography Camp, your daughter will have the opportunity to use a high-quality, professional grade camera around Ursuline’s campus. She will learn about composition, the principles of design, and manual settings, as she experiments with landscape, still-life, and portrait photography. Cameras and laptops are provided during camp, and she will receive a USB drive to take her memories home!

WEEK FIVE July 14-18, 2025

Young Writer’s Workshop

Young Writers’ Workshop is for all 7th, 8th, and 9th grade girls! During this five-day workshop, writers will explore four different styles of writing to create a writer’s portfolio by the end of the week! Monday-Thursday will cover poetry, creative short fiction, creative short nonfiction, and feature writing for journalism. We’ll view models of each style and craft our own pieces through various activities, including free writes and brainstorms, group workshopping, and one-on-one conferences with a UA English teacher! Friday will be a revision day, where writers pick one piece to revise and polish for a final draft. Be a part of a community of young writers, share your work, and learn from your peers!

Innovation Camp

Join us for a week of hands-on STEM activities for 7th-9th graders! Campers will learn how to build and program a Lego robot to complete challenges! Each day will also contain an activity in Ursuline Academy’s new Makerspace where the girls will get to design, innovate, and bring home creations such as a 3D printed keychain, wooden keepsake, vinyl stickers, and a custom t-shirt!

HSPT Prep Class (3 Sessions)

Prepare for the HSPT at Ursuline! Led by an experienced Ursuline Academy teacher, the HSPT test prep course will help you feel more confident on testing day so you can do your best. The course will cover standardized test taking strategies as well as familiarize you with the format and types of questions on the HSPT, including practice questions for each section. An HSPT Prep Book will be provided for each registered student. Three sessions will be offered:  Session 1 & 2 - July 7-11; Session 3 - July 14-18.  We will offer a practice test on Saturday, July 19th.

Athletic Camps

Ursuline Academy in Cincinnati offers camps in several different sports. These camps are run by the Ursuline coaching staff in the summer. The camps are designed to teach technical and tactical skills in a fun and competitive environment. Camp registration includes a t-shirt and early registration is encouraged.

Camps will close when capacity is reached. Our coaches like a manageable number of campers in order to provide the best experience for those who attend. Please be sure to register early.

Basketball, Volleyball & Tennis camps take place at Ursuline Academy; Field Hockey, Soccer, Lacrosse and Softball camps take place at the Blue Ash Sports Complex on Grooms.
