Planned Gifts

Typically, planned gifts offer alumnae, parents and friends opportunities to make more significant gifts to Ursuline than possible in their lifetimes. Thoughtful contributors who remember the school with their bequests and other forms of planned gifts have and will continue to be critical to ensuring an Ursuline education is available for future generations of students.

Bequests, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, retirement assets, are examples of some planned gifts options. Planned or estate gift arrangements can help you make a meaningful gift while attaining other important financial goals. In addition, not only do you contribute to Ursuline, but in some instances you increase your income, enjoy a charitable gift deduction and receive tax benefits.

It is advisable to consult with your attorney, financial counselor and/or other advisors when making a gift plan. These professionals can help you address your specific goals as well as give you more detailed information about the plan that best suits you and tax consequences.

Individuals who confirm that the school is named in their gift plan are enrolled in the Behler-Ladrigan Guild, which was established in 1993. The Guild is named in honor of Sister Gabriel Behler and Sister Xavier Ladrigan, who typify the dedication of the Ursuline Sisters to education.
