This occurs commonly on our sun, she explained. "Currently the activity on the sun is high and thus there are many sunspots on our sun today. In the amphitheatre I have set up a large telescope for my students to view these sunspots," said Ms. Nunez, who invited any students, faculty and staff to view the sunspots.

For the last two weeks, Ursuline has been enveloped with color: the cultural phenomenon of Yarn Bombing has exploded onto our campus! Inspired by the work created by the Cincinnati Bombshells, a local collective of women artists, students in Jeanine Boutiere's ('01) Mixed Media course spent months knitting, weaving, and crocheting soft panels, chains, and pom poms that were stealthily installed on Earth Day and unveiled to our community in conjunction with Spirit Week. As you walk through the halls of UA, you'll find desk legs casually wrapped in colorfully striped "leg-warmers" and even a couple of Lions showing their love of environmentally friendly public art works!

The installation will be in place through the opening of the Senior Art show on Monday, May 14th.

Click here to see a slideshow of the installation.
