The primary goals of Ursuline’s Science
Department are: to enable students to understand and engage in scientific
inquiry; to develop positive attitudes toward the scientific enterprise
and to make decisions that are evidence-based and reflect a thorough
understanding of the interrelationships among science, technology and
society.
Each student has an opportunity for many open-ended
science experiences, such as the Junior Engineering Technical Society
(JETS), the Science Outreach Program and science fairs. Students have an
opportunity to become familiar with potential science careers. The
department recommends three or more years of science.
