Financial Aid
All students interested in financial aid need to process 2
forms: some need to process a third form. All students applying for
financial aid need to process a Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) and usually the individual college’s application for financial
aid. Your parents will need to apply on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov after Jan 1.
There is a practice worksheet on this website for parents to complete
which provides an estimated financial aid award. In addition,
students applying to some private colleges need to complete the Profile,
also online. The Profile should be completed in the fall of senior
year. Most admissions pages on the college website will have
information for financial aid for that particular school.
It is advisable to review each college’s financial aid
requirements. All of these forms are handled entirely by you and
your parents rather than by the guidance office. Questions regarding
financial aid may be directed to the financial aid office of the college
to which you are applying. A financial aid meeting for UA parents of
sophomores and juniors will take place in April of the current school
year.
