Six counselors are available to
meet with students individually to discuss course selection, career and
college plans, personal and academic concerns on an as needed basis.
Special

The school psychologist is available full
time for consultation, counseling and assessment regarding academic,
behavioral and emotional concerns. Student support groups in such areas as
academic success, stress, nutrition, divorce and loss are available.
The Language-Learning Consultant is available two days a week to develop
and improve language-based learning strategies for students needing such
assistance. Individual and/or small group sessions can be scheduled.
The school nurse is involved in the total health program of the school.
Her responsibilities include immunization and health history reviews and
record-keeping, health screenings and the subsequent follow-up of any
referrals, first aid and health care, policy formation and implementation,
and consultation.
All guidance personnel are available for parent conferences/consultation
by appointment. In addition, in the spring of the Junior year, parents and
daughters have the opportunity to meet with a college counselor to discuss
college plans.
A Student Assistance Council utilizes a collaborative approach to problem
solving in order to offer help for students whose learning and/or life
issues are interfering with educational progress.
