Ursuline Academy has inducted 151 students (46 seniors and 105 juniors) into the National Honor Society during a ceremony in the school's Besl Theatre on October 30, 2012. This is the largest number of inductees in the school's history according to Principal Tom Barhorst. Criteria for inclusion is based on the four pillars of the National Honor Society: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. The students must have at least a 3.5 GPA to be invited to apply.

The ceremony began with a welcome by NHS co-presidents Kelly Lutmer and Sydney Ruehlmann, a prayer by Assistant Principal Jill Hallahan, and remarks by President Sharon Redmond and Principal Tom Barhorst. The candle lighting service was conducted by NHS co-presidents, the secretary Ellen Hinkley and treasurer Catherine Brinker. Each inductee was given a certificate and candle for the candle lighting service by Mr. Barhorst and NHS co-moderators and math teachers Sarah Downs and Betty McManus. The event was attended by the inductees' parents, as well as faculty, staff and friends. A reception followed the ceremony.
