LaRosa's Hall of Fame Inductee
Congratulations to 1999 graduate, Erin Phenix, who was inducted into the LaRosa's Hall of Fame. While at Ursuline she was an individual and team state champion in Swimming. She also swam in the Olympics and won a gold medal.
2014 graduates, Emily Slabe and Mehvish Safdar were also honored for swimming and tennis.
Lacrosse Player named to All-American Team
Junior Lily Baldwin was named to the Under Armour Class of 2016 All American Team. She is the only athlete from Cincinnati named to this team. She will play in a tournament in July.
Under Armour All-Americans are selected by a panel of lacrosse experts from Inside Lacrosse Magazine. The year-long selection process includes input from college and high school coaches from across the country as well as nominations from the public.
The Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic includes the Underclassmen Elite tournament that will feature the top boys and girls players from the classes of 2015-2017 from10 regions across the country. The three-day tournament culminates Sunday, July 13 with the girls and boys finals at 3:30PM on the fields surrounding Unitas Stadium in Maryland.
Assistant Cross Country Coach Wins Flying Pig
Congratulations to assistant Coach Amy Robbilard, who won the Flying Pig Marathon.
She had a winning time of 2:55:53. She previously has won the half marathon In 2011 and 2012. Congratualtions Coach Robillard!
Dance Team National Champs in Ameridance and US Finals
Congratulations to the Dance Team who competed at the Ameridance National Championship in Indianapolis and then the US Finals competition the following day. On Saturday they were named National Champions in Pom, Hip Hop (pictured above) and Prop. They were also named the coveted National Grand Champs - best team of the entire competition.
Then the team attended the US Finals competition for the Hip Hop for the Flying Monkey routine. The team competed in the All Star division in the "best of the best competition" and won first place at US Finals in Hip Hop.
These young women and their coaches have done an amazing job, working hard for 11 months and bringing these amazing titles back to Ursuline.

SWIM TEAM STATE CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to the Swimming and Diving Team who were State Champions for the second year in a row. They won 8 of 11 events and set meet records in 2 of them. Congratulations to the team and their coaches for a great season!
Dance Team Grand Champions at Ameridance Regionals
The Dance Team travelled to Findlay Ohio to perform in the Regional Ameridance competition. The team was named Grand Champions in the Varsity Hip Hop Routine - this is the top scoring event of the entire day. They also received 1st place in Varsity Pom, Elite Open Hip Hop, Varsity Hip Hop. The Varsity Hip Hop Routine also received the High Point Award, Wow Choreography Award, and a Golden Ticket. These ladies will travel to Indianapolis to compete in Nationals in March.
Dance Team Wins Award at Sugar Bowl
The Ursuline Dance Team received the 2014 Sugar Bowl Spirit Award. The Spirit Award is the only team award given to the 48 teams (23 states represented) and 700 dancers performing at 2014 Sugar Bowl.
The award is presented to the program who best embodies the definition of sportsmanship by positively representing their school and showing an overall enthusiasm and respect for performing arts at the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Fall Athletic Teams Serve the Community
The fall sports teams do more than just play sports. In their spare weekends each program has found the time to volunteer at various spots around the city. The Tennis program volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House several different nights this fall. They helped prepare dinner for the families. The Cross Country Team helped at the Blazing for Love 5K. They helped with packet pick-up and at the event. This event supports the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. The Volleyball Program helped run a practice at the Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy. And the Soccer Program volunteered at the Top Soccer tournament in Mason. This tournament is for people with disabilities. Click here to view a slideshow of the various events.
1993 Volleyball State Champion Reunion
Members of the 1993 State Volleyball Championship team held a reunion at Ursuline on Tuesday, October 8. They attended the varsity home game against St. Ursula Academy and were honored at the beginning of the game.
They also made a generous donation to the athletic department.
Dance Team named National Champions!
The Dance Team competed in several categories at the Showcase National Championship. The JV team competed in the Pom, Kick and Jazz categories and placed 3rd, 3rd and 4th respectively. The Varsity team competed in Pom, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Kick and placed 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.
Both teams competed together in the Open Category. Dressed in army garb, they performed a moving number to the song Some Nights, by Fun. They were named National Champions in thie category. Congratulations to these teams on a great weekend and great year.
SWIMMING STATE CHAMPS!
Congratulations to our 2013 state swimming championship team and Bridget Blood's '13 state championship in the 100-breaststroke. The Lions clinched their sixth team championship and first since 2002, on Saturday in Canton. Temarie Tomley '14, Emily Slabe '14, and Alisabeth Marsteller '14 won the 400 free relay, setting a new state record; Emily, Temarie, Bridget and Sarah Jenkins '13 won the 200 medley relay.
